Have you always wondered what a match in the Action Bays is like? An introduction match will be held there this afternoon. All current WSC members are invited to attend and experience the Action Bays in action! Observers are welcome as well. No pre-qualification is required for this match.
- Steel Challenge stage: Shoot three strings/
- Plate rack: Load 2 mags, 7 rounds each, reload as needed, plates must be hit for rimfire, must fall for centerfire before advancing to the next plate, uses all 12 plates.
- USPSA style stage: Short hallway with paper targets, Texas star or Polish plate rack, one leaner target. Unlimited mag and round count.
All stages will be shot from the low ready, no holster draw for this. Bring:
- Your favorite 9mm, .38 special, .40, or .45 ACP handgun (a .380 or .22LR can also be used, but will not knock down the plates on the plate rack).
- Your unloaded gun to the match in a carrying case with an empty chamber flag (weedwhacker string works).
- As many magazines or speed loaders as you have. Three or more are recommended, but we can accommodate those with fewer. Transport any needed magazines in a separate pouch or container.
- Belt mounted mag pouches if you have them.
- 50 to 100 rounds of ammo.
- Proper ear and eye protection (includes observers).
The mandatory safety meeting will start at 12:30AM, followed by first shots.
There will be plenty of experienced shooters and Range Officers on hand to answer your questions, and help you through the match in a safe manner. The match will be run on a cold range, no loaded guns except at the firing line and as instructed by the RO.
