From Lisa: In March of 2017, after 40 years of diabetes, insulin and medications, we learned that Dave was in End Stage Renal Failure. His kidneys had failed.

So let’s help Dave & Lisa so they can focus on getting Dave well and not have to worry so much about the money. And to show them they aren’t in this fight alone!

We are asking everyone to donate a gas or grocery gift card for a minimum of $10 or make a $10 cash donation at the door! And if you can’t make it to the VFW hall that night, please consider contributing at Dave’s YouCaring.com fundraising page.

Big turn-out for archery course work party

So many volunteers completing their 2017 work hours turned out to put the 3D Archery course to bed before hunting season that they raked the trap fields, too!

New Gate Opener

The new card-operated gate opener is in operation. Dave Gilson has been issuing proximity cards to members. The card gives a member access to the gate, clubhouse and if qualified, the indoor range. If you did not pick up your card at meetings and handout events, it will be mailed to you when you renew your WSC membership for 2016.

2016 Forestry Walk, Sunday, January 3rd

We had 40 hikers of all ages come out for the annual Forestry walk around the club property on Sunday, January 3rd. Some of us got to see two deer crossing our path. We aged one of the largest white pines on the property at 176 years old. It has a nick name of “The Witch”.

It was a little icy on the hike, but the group had a great time. Thank you to Bobby Silva for coming out and leading one of the groups. Thanks to all that participated. See you next year.
