2016 Forestry Walk, Sunday, January 3rd
We had 40 hikers of all ages come out for the annual Forestry walk around the club property on Sunday, January 3rd. Some of us got to see two deer crossing our path. We aged one of the largest white pines on the property at 176 years old. It has a nick name of “The Witch”.
It was a little icy on the hike, but the group had a great time. Thank you to Bobby Silva for coming out and leading one of the groups. Thanks to all that participated. See you next year.
Thanks,
Norman Silva

Bear on Club Grounds, 18-Aug’14
On Monday, 18-Aug’14 we received a report that a few styrofoam archery targets had been found ripped up on the east 3D course, and we suspect it is the work of a black bear. There have been numerous reports of bears in Westford. If you encounter a bear, do not approach it and keep any dogs under control.
