The Game Preserve at the Westford Sportsman’s Club is open to all active club members and their guests.

Dates, Times, and Location

1. Stocking takes place weekly from September 15th through November 28th, 2023. A total of from 22 to 10 birds are stocked per week as the season progresses.
2. The stocking schedule is posted on the announcement board at the Club.
3. Stocking birds is on the Groton side of the property. The map is shown in the clubhouse.
4. The preserve is closed from November 30th to December 31st for deer hunting.
5. The preserve is open until March 31st, 2027. You may purchase birds beyond the stocking dates.

Rules

1. Must wear hunter orange cap and vest.
2. Must have a license or purchase a day license from the State.
3. Hours.
   1. Hunting allowed from sunrise to sunset.
   2. Hunting after 1:00PM on Saturday (through September).
   3. Hunting after 1:00PM on Sunday.
4. You must purchase birds for your own stocking January 1 – March 31, 2027. Contact the Game Preserve Chair for birds.
5. 2 birds per person per day, unless you purchase more birds.

Payments

1. Shooting more than 2 birds requires a payment of $20 per bird for each bird shot beyond 2.
2. You may bring a guest, but if your guest shoots a bird, it is $20 per bird.
3. Payments may be made to the treasurer at the clubhouse’s lower level.
   1. Please put a note in the box stating that this is for pheasants, along with your payments.
   2. Checks made out to “Westford Sportsmen’s Club”.

1. Complete the hunt form and document the number of birds you shoot. The form is located in the clubhouse announcement board.

   3. Date
   4. Birds shot
2. Tag birds before you leave the club using the tags on the board.
