2015 Forestry Walk, Sunday, January 11th

i8079AMembers and guests should meet at the club house promptly at 9:00AM.

This walk of the property line will be about 5 miles, in a little more than four hours – a leisurely pace. We hope to see lots of members there; it’s a great family event. Last year’s walk on fresh snow gave about 20 hikers spectacular views of the club property. The weather forecast is mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 20’s.

And stay tuned! We’re already planning the 2015 Fishing Derby and Open House. Meanwhile, for the walk’s details…

Please dress appropriately. It’s too soon to forecast conditions, but wear a pack for extra clothing (face mask, mittens, wind pants, wind breaker, etc.) as well as a Thermos of coffee or hot chocolate, and a snack. Once we get moving, we’ll generate enough body heat to stay warm, and you don’t want to carry things in your hands. Be sure to have a dry change of clothes in your car, just in case you need them when we’re done.
