Thanks to a run of dry weather, the roads and parking areas at the WSC which had been closed for mud season are now open again. Vehicles can once again be driven past the pond and parked by the outdoor ranges and the Sporting Clays trailer. As always, travel with care just in case the odd wet spot or low-hanging branch persist. This is just in time for the April 6th changeover to Spring/Summer Sporting Clays on Saturday mornings.
Questions to the President.
Dave Gilson’s YouCaring.com fundraising page remains open and accepting contributions from WSC members like you, to help defray the medical costs of his fight against kidney failure. Please consider pitching in to help Dave and Lisa right now!
(How To Stay Legal and Out of Trouble)
Save the date! Noted gun instructor Len Segal presents an all-day class for laymen.
A 6+ hour exploration of Massachusetts gun laws including ample time for your questions and answers. (NOTE: This is NOT the same material you received in a Basic Firearms Class, it is a lot more comprehensive than that).
We are taking registrations to ensure that we don’t exceed the 75-student attendance cap. At least 28 students have already registered with more on the way, so if you are going to attend, send the Webmaster your name, town, EMail, phone, WSC membership status, and whether you grant Len permission to retain your info for remedial messages (not for marketing).
This class exposes the rumors and presents the facts:
The WSC 2018 membership renewal drive is now underway. Dues are payable, and were due by the end of January 2018. Dues rates have increased from 2017: $150/$75 member/spouse, senior/senior-spouse: $75/$37.50.
Access cards are being disabled for members whose dues have not been paid by the end of February unless prior arrangements for payment had already been made with the Membership Secretary. Only members in good standing will have access to club facilities after that date. In particular, the new clubhouse WiFi/members-only web page password has been EMailed to paid-up members on Wednesday, March 7th.
A late payment fee of $25.00 will be assessed on dues not received by February 28th. Membership will be terminated for any member whose dues remain unpaid by June 30th, and can only be restored by the full interview process (and payment of initiation fees).
