Forestry Property Walk Forestry Property Walk

January 4, 2025The Forestry Chair will lead a walk around the club property.
We leave promptly at 8:30AM from in front of the club house. It's a fun event for our members and families. We walk in all weather - rain, snow, or sunshine. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing layers and foot protection. Bring your camera, and your own snacks and drinks for breaks along the way. We will walk some property bounds, in both Westford and Groton, mostly on trails; with highlighted points about the property along the way. We take lots of breaks and all are welcome to come.

open to the public.Show up and sign up from 12:30PM-1:00PM. Trap continues to run until the shooters who arrived promptly have worn out themselves (and the scorers). This usually occurs by 3PM. So to get the most out of your afternoon, show up at the start of the session.

January 6, 2025General Membership meeting at the clubhouse, shared via Zoom teleconference for those who do not wish to meet in person. Connection details to be supplied by club E-blast; here is a copy of the links that you can click on.
If you choose to attend the meetings in person:
- If you have been fully vaccinated, no face covering is required.
- If you have not been fully vaccinated, a face covering and/or social distancing is strongly recommended.
The monthly meal is: Chicken Cordon Bleu, rice, broccoli, Nutterbutter cookies, and a drink - all for only $5.00!
There is no guest speaker this month.

The indoor range will be reserved for the event (and the clubhouse upstairs meeting room and kitchen will be off-limits for the duration).

All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance. Please follow the instructions in the Chair's response carefully.
Note well: you must register to ensure that you can be notified of a last-minute schedule changes.

January 14, 2025All members must pass a Gun Skills Safety Review (GSSR) to gain access to the Indoor Range (via their WSC Proximity Cards). Proximity Card permissions are updated after the GSSR by the Indoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance.

- Meet in the clubhouse downstairs
- View a safety video
- Take a brief quiz on range procedures
- Demonstrate safe gun handling and usage with a live-fire test
(Bring gun and approved target ammo)
