April 2, 2023(3 events) N/A – The Archery group is hosting a Granite State Bowhunters 3D shoot. Adult GSB shooters with membership cards pay $12, non-members $15 - save $3 by joining GSB at registration ($10 for individuals, $15 for families). Under 18's shoot free. The clubhouse upstairs will be running a cafe, so the indoor range is closed for the duration. Outdoor ranges should remain open. Questions to the Outdoor Range chair. – Both of WSC's Trap fields are open on Mondays in summer for Trap Team practice. For our members on the Greater Lowell Trap League, this is a great time to get in practice in lighting situations similar to League evening shoots. Set-up starts at 4:30PM; shooting starts at 5:00PM and at least runs until 6:30PM, if not sunset. Direct any questions to our Trap Chair. – General Membership meeting at the clubhouse, shared via Zoom teleconference for those who do not wish to meet in person. April 4, 2023(2 events) – The outdoor pistol range is reserved for police training. Questions to the Outdoor Range chair. – This 3½+ hour long seminar explains state and federal laws and regulations in layperson terms. Students will explore applicable MGL and CMR as it pertains to definitions, gun purchase, possession, transport, record keeping requirements, buying/selling, interstate transport, interstate purchase, ammunition storage and best practices for gun owners. Tuition is $10/person; $5 will be donated to GOAL™, and $5 will be donated to the WSC Scholarship Fund. This class is presented by Jon Green, the Director of Education and Training for GOAL. April 11, 2023(1 event) – All members must pass a Gun Skills Safety Review (GSSR) to gain access to the Indoor Range (via their WSC Proximity Cards). Please support the derby by returning your donation tickets. – A presentation for prospective members is held in the clubhouse. Indoor range is closed. The meeting starts with the presentation, so please plan on being seated by the starting time. The meeting should last approximately one hour, depending on the number of applicants. Questions to the Membership Secretary. – Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Requirements:
Full requirements are in the Action Bay Qualification Procedures. The test is an open book 25-question multiple-choice which must be completed in 30 minutes. The passing grade is 84%, and requires great familiarity with the rules to finish in time. Resources: Action Bay Range Rules and Cross Functional Rules Registration is required, to ensure that you can be notified of last-minute schedule changes. Contact Action Bay Chair. This is a qualification session for the Action Bays. Successful completion is required to gain access to the Action Bays. – Registration Required!! All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance.
