Annual Turkey Shoot at the Trap Fields.

Sign up begins at 12:30PM.
Event starts at 1:00PM.

$5 entry fee includes burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. Normal trap pricing for rounds.

All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance.

Agenda:
* Meet in the clubhouse downstairs, participate in classroom briefing.
* Travel to the outdoor pistol range (2 minute drive on the grounds), participate in range training.

All members must pass a Gun Skills Safety Review (GSSR) to gain access to the Indoor Range (via their WSC Proximity Cards). Cards are updated after the GSSR by the Indoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by eMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance.

- Take a brief quiz on range procedures
- Demonstrate safe gun handling and usage

Trap continues to run until the shooters who arrived promptly at 1PM have worn out themselves (and the scorers). This usually occurs by 3PM. So to get the most out of your afternoon, show up at the start of the session.

There will be a work party on the Sporting Clays grounds. It's the last chance to to satisfy your annual work requirement with Sporting Clays work.

Here are some of the tasks in the plan:

  • Move some traps around
  • Store the Auto machines
  • Load up a few more targets
  • Remove the handicapped dock from the trout pond for winter
  • Install a memorial bench
