August 1, 2021(1 event) Trap Fields Open (Members/Friends/Family Only) – Sunday afternoon trap. Trap has resumed on a semi-restricted basis for WSC members, and their friends and family only. (The front gate will not be left ajar by the Trap committee, so if your family/guests are not carpooling and don't have a gate card, please coordinate to let them through upon their arrival). Also, payments for rounds may now be made online. Participant use of the online reservation system that was inaugurated during the coronavirus lockdown is now optional - reservations are no longer mandatory. However, the reservation system is still an excellent place to check before heading to the club in case a session has been canceled at the last minute. Questions to the Trap Chair. |

For our members on the Greater Lowell Trap League, this is a great time to get in practice in lighting situations similar to League evening shoots. August 7, 2021(1 event) Action Bay Qualifications – Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Further details are in Action Bay Qualification Procedures and Action Bay Range Rules. Instructors will break for lunch between 12:00 noon and 1:00PM. August 8, 2021(2 events) Outdoor Range Safety Briefing (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) – Registration Required!! All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance. August 28, 2021(1 event) Action Bay Open House and Demo – The Action Pistol Committee will be holding an open house and introduction to action shooting on Saturday, August 28th. Come try out the ranges and see what action pistol is all about. We will have two sessions with the first starting at 10:00AM, and the second at 1:00PM. The sessions will be held on five of the bays at the same time, with a maximum of eight members per bay. This is to minimize members exposure and to practice social distancing. Bring your favorite hand gun, pistol or revolver, center fire or rim fire, and ammo. Sorry, no magnums, rifle caliber, nor .17 caliber can be allowed. Registration for the sessions will be required, and is limited to members and their immediate family living in the same household. The outdoor pistol range will be closed until 2PM for the event. Please e-mail the Action Shooting Pits chair to sign up for one of the sessions, or if you have any questions. |
