August 1, 2021(1 event) – Sunday afternoon trap. Trap has resumed on a semi-restricted basis for WSC members, and their friends and family only. (The front gate will not be left ajar by the Trap committee, so if your family/guests are not carpooling and don't have a gate card, please coordinate to let them through upon their arrival). Also, payments for rounds may now be made online. Participant use of the online reservation system that was inaugurated during the coronavirus lockdown is now optional - reservations are no longer mandatory. However, the reservation system is still an excellent place to check before heading to the club in case a session has been canceled at the last minute. Questions to the Trap Chair. |
August 2, 2021(4 events) – The indoor range will be closed while the crew from Molly Maids is cleaning the clubhouse. Questions to the Indoor Range chair on range issues, – Both of WSC's Trap fields are open on Mondays in summer for Trap Team Practice. For our members on the Greater Lowell Trap League, this is a great time to get in practice in lighting situations similar to League evening shoots. (In theory shooting continues until sunset, Direct any questions to our Trap Chair. – E-board meets in the clubhouse. Indoor range is closed. – General Membership meeting at the clubhouse, shared via Zoom teleconference for those who do not wish to meet in person. August 7, 2021(2 events) – Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Further details are in Action Bay Qualification Procedures and Action Bay Range Rules. Instructors will break for lunch between 12:00 noon and 1:00PM. August 28, 2021(2 events) – Shooting on our Sporting Clays course. Open to non-members. Please arrive in the parking lot by 9:10AM for squad assignments. Questions to the chair. – The Action Pistol Committee will be holding an open house and introduction to action shooting on Saturday, August 28th. Come try out the ranges and see what action pistol is all about. We will have two sessions with the first starting at 10:00AM, and the second at 1:00PM. The sessions will be held on five of the bays at the same time, with a maximum of eight members per bay. This is to minimize members exposure and to practice social distancing. Bring your favorite hand gun, pistol or revolver, center fire or rim fire, and ammo. Sorry, no magnums, rifle caliber, nor .17 caliber can be allowed. Registration for the sessions will be required, and is limited to members and their immediate family living in the same household. The outdoor pistol range will be closed until 2PM for the event. Please e-mail the Action Shooting Pits chair to sign up for one of the sessions, or if you have any questions. |
August 29, 2021(2 events) – We will be having a small work party, this Sunday, 29-Aug'21 starting at 8:30AM, to clean up the 3D Archery course in preparation for a shoot we will be hosting on September 5th. Work will include weed whacking and grooming the 3D course, and cleaning up the archery range. Recommended attire includes outdoor work boots and gloves, and eye and ear protection. The club has a few weed whackers, but if you have a reliable working one to bring that would be helpful. Contact the Archery chair if you plan to help out. – Sunday afternoon trap.
