April 1, 2024Both of WSC's Trap fields are open on Mondays in summer for Trap Team practice.
For our members on the Greater Lowell Trap League, this is a great time to get in practice in lighting situations similar to League evening shoots.
Set-up starts at 4:30PM; shooting starts at 5:00PM and at least runs until 6:30PM, if not sunset (but may close early if all the shooters on-site have finished).

All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance. Please follow the instructions in the Chair's response carefully.
Note well: you must register to ensure that you can be notified of a last-minute schedule changes.

open to the public.Show up and sign up from 12:30PM-1:00PM. Trap continues to run until the shooters who arrived promptly have worn out themselves (and the scorers). This usually occurs by 3PM. So to get the most out of your afternoon, show up at the start of the session.

April 13, 2024All-day trap event - both fields reserved. Participation at the event is open to all members of the Amateur Trapshooting Association - both WSC members, and the public.

April 14, 2024The Archery group is hosting a Granite State Bowhunters 3D shoot.
Adult GSB shooters with membership cards pay $12, non-members $15 - save $3 by joining GSB at registration ($10 for individuals, $15 for families). Under 18's shoot free.
The clubhouse upstairs will be running a cafe, so the indoor range is closed for the duration. Outdoor ranges should remain open.

Action Bays Cleanup Work Party Action Bays Cleanup Work Party

April 14, 2024Volunteers are needed to help clean up the Action Bays. If you can, please bring gloves, garden rake, leaf rake, and/or a shovel. Club tools will be available as well. To volunteer, sign up here and get credit for your family's annual work hour assessment.

April 14, 2024Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely.
In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet.
Requirements:
- Center fire handgun in an acceptable caliber (see the rules)
- Belt-style holster that completely covers the trigger guard of the gun
- At least 30 rounds of ammo
- Orange range card (see the CRO for replacement of lost cards)
- Eye and ear protection
- Baseball-style hat
- A digital/printed copy of the rules for reference during the test
- A pen to take the written test
Full requirements are in the Action Bay Qualification Procedures.
The test is an open book 25-question multiple-choice which must be completed in 30 minutes. The passing grade is 84%, and requires great familiarity with the rules to finish in time.

This is a qualification session for the Action Bays. Successful completion is required to gain access to the Action Bays.

April 26, 2024Heart attacks are the leading cause of death at any shooting range, sportmens club, and the population at large. This course will give you the information and the skills you need to help adults and children during many emergency situations, including the practice of CPR, and operation of Automated External Defibrillators.
The instruction will be delivered via the American Red Cross's "blended training" method, which combines pre-class online work with hands-on skills sessions. You must complete the online blending learning portion before Friday, February 9th.
Tuition is $65.00/person. This class will be a complete Red Cross class. Spots will be limited.
