April 10, 2016(2 events) Outdoor Range Safety Briefing – If you are interested in using the outdoor ranges you must obtain an Orange Card by attending an Outdoor Range Safety Briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. Please meet Ken at the clubhouse at 11:30 AM and allow 2 1/2 hours for this briefing. (We will be starting on schedule, so please be on time). You must bring hearing and eye protection. Ken requests that you bring something to shoot (pistol or rifle), appropriate ammo, and targets. However, please attend the briefing, with your eye/ear protection, even if you currently do not have a gun. If you are unable to attend the briefing on the Sunday immediately after the general meeting when you were initiated, or if you are a existing member planning to attend in order to finally obtain your Orange Card, please e-mail Ken to let him know whether or not to print your card. Ken will be using the Outdoor Range Rules which reside on the web site's Forms-Documents page. Girl Scout Cadette Troop 30214 Rifle Shooting and S'mores – Girl Scout Cadette Troop 30214 will be introduced to rifle shooting at the outdoor range, and after 4PM will be at the fire pit for s'mores. Questions to Member-at-Large Susan U., the Chief Range Officer, the Outdoor Range chair, or the Junior Club chair. |

April 16, 2016(1 event) Sportswomen Meeting (Sporting Clays) – Women members are invited to try out sporting clays at this Sportswomen meeting. Our club is new-shooter friendly and is happy to bring more new women shooters into the fold. Meet in the clubhouse at 9:00AM and walk with us to the sporting clays area at 9:30AM. The Sporting Clays Chair will offer instruction and guidance as we try the sport out. You will learn about the course protocols, different shotgun sizes/gauges, actions, shooting strategies and which gun best suits which conditions. Bring your own shotgun or use one from the club; also, bring eye and ear protection. Each woman will need a box of shells which the club sells for $7 per box. RSVP to the Sportswomen Chair if you plan to be there so that we can have enough supplies for the group. The indoor range is closed while the Sportswomen are gathering indoors. |
