January 13, 2024(1 event) NRA Home Firearm Safety Course (Indoor Range CLOSED) – NRA-certified instructors will teach NRA Home Firearm Safety, a nationally-recognized training course for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. At the successful completion of this course, students will receive a basic firearm safety certificate which satisfies the Massachusetts legal requirement for applying for a License to Carry firearms (or the Firearms Identification Card, which conveys fewer privileges). Students will be charged $50.00 to cover course materials with proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund. (Classes of this type are currently retailing for $125.00). This course will be open to Club members and their immediate family. Students must register by contacting the WSC Training/Education chair. The clubhouse indoor range will be closed for the duration of the class. |
January 14, 2024(1 event) Forestry Property Walk – The Forestry Chair and Trail Boss will lead a walk around the club property. Meet promptly at 8AM in front of the club house. This years walk will be shorter and take around 2½ hours and we will walk around 3 miles. It's a fun event for our members and families. We walk in all weather - rain, snow, or sunshine. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing layers and foot protection. Bring your camera, and your own snacks and drinks for breaks along the way. This years walk will be on our current trail system. We will walk some property bounds with highlighted points about the property along the way. We take lots of breaks and all are welcome to come.
