March 10, 2024(2 events) Outdoor Range Safety Briefing (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) – Registration Required!! All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by EMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance. Please follow the instructions in the Chair's response carefully. Note well: you must register to ensure that you can be notified of a last-minute schedule changes. Trap Fields Open – Sunday afternoon trap, Show up and sign up from 12:30PM-1:00PM. Trap continues to run until the shooters who arrived promptly have worn out themselves (and the scorers). This usually occurs by 3PM. So to get the most out of your afternoon, show up at the start of the session. Questions to the Trap Chair. |

March 14, 2024(1 event) Action Bay Qualifications – Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Requirements:
Full requirements are in the Action Bay Qualification Procedures. The test is an open book 25-question multiple-choice which must be completed in 30 minutes. The passing grade is 84%, and requires great familiarity with the rules to finish in time. March 16, 2024(1 event) NRA Home Firearm Safety Course (Indoor Range CLOSED) – NRA-certified instructors will teach NRA Home Firearm Safety, a nationally-recognized training course for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. At the successful completion of this course, students will receive a basic firearm safety certificate which satisfies the Massachusetts legal requirement for applying for a License to Carry firearms (or the Firearms Identification Card, which conveys fewer privileges). Students will be charged $50.00 (cash, or check made out to the name of the President) to cover course materials with proceeds going to the Scholarship Fund. (Classes of this type are currently retailing for $125.00). This course will be open to Club members and their immediate family. Students must register via Signup Genius. The clubhouse indoor range will be closed for the duration of the class. |
