For our members on the Greater Lowell Trap League, this is a great time to get in practice in lighting situations similar to League evening shoots. April 14, 2024(5 events) Granite State Bowhunters 3-D Shoot, All Archers Welcome! INDOOR RANGE CLOSED7:00 am – 2:00 pm The Archery group is hosting a Granite State Bowhunters 3D shoot. Adult GSB shooters with membership cards pay $12, non-members $15 - save $3 by joining GSB at registration ($10 for individuals, $15 for families). Under 18's shoot free. The clubhouse upstairs will be running a cafe, so the indoor range is closed for the duration. Outdoor ranges should remain open. Questions to the Archery Chair. Action Bays Cleanup Work Party9:00 am – 1:00 pm Volunteers are needed to help clean up the Action Bays. If you can, please bring gloves, garden rake, leaf rake, and/or a shovel. Club tools will be available as well. To volunteer, sign up here and get credit for your family's annual work hour assessment. Contact the Action Shooting Pits Chair with any questions. Action Bay Qualifications (PISTOL RANGE CLOSED)11:30 am – 1:30 pm Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Requirements:
Full requirements are in the Action Bay Qualification Procedures. The test is an open book 25-question multiple-choice which must be completed in 30 minutes. The passing grade is 84%, and requires great familiarity with the rules to finish in time. Resources: Action Bay Range Rules and Cross Functional Rules Registration is required, to ensure that you can be notified of last-minute schedule changes. Contact Action Bay Chair. April 26, 2024(1 event) Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED training6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Heart attacks are the leading cause of death at any shooting range, sportmens club, and the population at large. This course will give you the information and the skills you need to help adults and children during many emergency situations, including the practice of CPR, and operation of Automated External Defibrillators. The instruction will be delivered via the American Red Cross's "blended training" method, which combines pre-class online work with hands-on skills sessions. You must complete the online blending learning portion before Friday, February 9th. Tuition is $65.00/person. This class will be a complete Red Cross class. Spots will be limited.
