Trap has resumed on a semi-restricted basis for WSC members, and their friends and family only. (The front gate will not be left ajar by the Trap committee, so if your family/guests are not carpooling and don't have a gate card, please coordinate to let them through upon their arrival). Also, payments for rounds may now be made online. Participant use of the online reservation system that was inaugurated during the coronavirus lockdown is now optional - reservations are no longer mandatory. However, the reservation system is still an excellent place to check before heading to the club in case a session has been canceled at the last minute. 5 Granite State Bowhunters 3-D Shoot, All Archers Welcome! Granite State Bowhunters 3-D Shoot, All Archers Welcome! 6:00 am – 3:00 pm September 5, 2021 The Archery group is hosting a Granite State Bowhunters 3D shoot. Adult GSB shooters with membership cards pay $12, non-members $15 - save $3 by joining GSB at registration ($10 for individuals, $15 for families). Under 18's shoot free. The clubhouse upstairs will be running a cafe, so the indoor range is closed for the duration. Outdoor ranges should remain open. Questions to the Archery Chair. Cards are updated after the GSSR by the Indoor Range Chair. To attend, you must register by eMailing the Chair at least 3 days in advance. Unfortunately, this month's Safety Review has been canceled due to a schedule conflict. Questions to the Trap Chair.	17	18 Home Firearms Safety Home Firearms Safety 9:00 am – 1:00 pm September 18, 2021 NRA-certified instructors will teach NRA Home Firearm Safety, a nationally-recognized training course for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. At the successful completion of this course, students will receive a basic firearm safety certificate which satisfies the Massachusetts legal requirement for applying for a License to Carry firearms (or the Firearms Identification Card, which conveys fewer privileges). The cost of this class is $50. Members who were waitlisted for the February class will be given first priority. Students must register by contacting the WSC Training/Education chair. 19 New Member Presentation New Member Presentation 9:00 am – 11:00 am September 19, 2021 A presentation for prospective members is held in the clubhouse. Indoor range is closed. The meeting starts with the presentation, so please plan on being seated by the starting time. The meeting should last approximately one hour, depending on the number of applicants. New Member Presentation Action Bay Qualifications (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) Action Bay Qualifications (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) 11:30 am – 1:30 pm September 19, 2021 Qualifications for use of the Action Bays by club members, to ensure that participants can safely use a holster with a handgun and shoot safely. In essence, there will be a written test, and you will be required to draw and fire from a holster and hit a target at thirty feet. Requirements: Handgun and belt holster that completely covers the trigger guard of the gun, at least 20 rounds of ammo, orange range card, eye and ear protection, and a pen to take the written test. This is a qualification session for the Action Bays. Successful completion is required to gain access to the Action Bays. Cub Scout Pack 95 Initiation and Rocket Launch Cub Scout Pack 95 Initiation and Rocket Launch 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm September 19, 2021 WSC sponsored Cub Scout Pack 95 newcomer welcome/model rocket launch at the field by the Trap House. Pack 95 will welcome and orient new Scouts and their families. Then Scouts will assemble and launch model rockets. Actual activities will run from 1:00PM-3:00PM. Participants should gather at the flagpole in front of the WSC clubhouse. Outdoor Range Safety Briefing (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) Outdoor Range Safety Briefing (Pistol range closed 1PM-2PM) 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm September 19, 2021 Registration Required!! All members must have an Orange Card to use the outdoor ranges. Cards are issued after a safety briefing, given by the Outdoor Range Chair.
